In July and August 2011, Wayne King,one of the Hopethiopia co-founders will lead an Education team to Ethiopia. They will be involved in a variety of Education teaching and outreach events as well as orphan care and community building projects.
Hopethiopia will soon be sending the Extreme team to the project site in Ethiopia. Wayne and Sisay met with Ethiopian Government officials including the Charities and Societies department. They also spent time at the Selam Children’s village technical centre and were able to order bricks for the new homes and will soon purchase a brick making machine for Hopethiopia.
Wayne King and Sisay Abera have just arrived in Ethiopia to work on a few significant projects for Hopethiopia. They will finalize the details for obtaining out iNGO status as well as work on plans for developing the brick making facility, agricultural garden, and the north site reforestation nursery.
Towards the end of May 2010 a new mission development team, including Wayne King and Sisay Abera will be arriving in Ethiopia to start a number of projects. Developing the initial north tree nursery site will be a priority as well as completeing the iNGO application procedure.
