Eye surgery clinic #6

Dr. Asrat and his surgical team did an excellent job of bringing the gift of site to many people, some of which were totally blind and had not been able to see for a few years.

Many of these patients have to travel from great distances in the rural community. They came to the HArbu Chulule health centre where a surgical clinic has been set up to treat the patients.

The patients are carefully assessed and then prepared on the day of surgery. There is great anticipation and joy as patients await this great opportunity to have the gift of sight restored.

Hopethiopia is also able to provide training to individuals that are involved in the health care profession. Health officers and students come to see treatment as well as learn surgical techniques as well as how to care for eyes.

It truly is a life giving experience filled with Hope.
