Melaku, one of the co-founders and directors of Hopethiopia had the opportunity to visit the many project sites and contacts in Ethiopia. This time he was able to join his wife Selam in Ethiopia as well as spend some time with Pastor Workneh and family of Calgary, Canada.

On the way to Ethiopia, Melaku gets to meet with Fasil the Canadian representative of Ethiopian Airlines. He then had the honor of traveling on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The team gets to stand in front of the “Faith” water well. This is the first water well drilled by Hopethiopia with a production of about 10,000L per hour. The water is a great benefit to the Hopethiopia project site and to the local community.

Selam gives a big hug to Abiti, a 1 1/2 year old boy that is sponsored by Hopethiopia. His sister, Sintayo, is featured in the 2013 Hopethiopia charity calendar (April)

Melaku spends some time with Tirunesh, one of the sponsored women in Ethiopia. They stand inside one of the new children’s homes that has been built using the Hydraform bricks that are built at the Hopethiopia brick building facility.

Pastor Workneh prays for the Hopethiopia sponsored women. The team hands out supplies that are given out on a monthly basis (Teff, oil, sugar, spices, soap etc.)
